-----------------------------------------------
A garden should feel as though it belongs—
to its setting, to its house, and to the
people who live with it every day.
Each project begins by understanding how the
space will be used and experienced, often from
within the house as much as within the garden.
Planting and structure are then used to shape
atmosphere, guide movement,
and bring seasonal change.
The aim is always the same: calm, coherent
gardens that feel easy to live with and grow
more rewarding over time.

How I work
I don’t begin with a style or fixed idea.
I begin by understanding how a garden will be
lived in, viewed, and experienced over time.
Some gardens are shaped for quiet observation from a favourite room in the house.
Others are built around seasonal change, structure, or planting that brings
clarity to a space.
The planting follows from those conversations,
bringing character, rhythm and atmosphere.
----------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------
Gardens feel most successful when they belong naturally to their setting and the people who use them.

If you would like to discuss a garden,
the best place to begin is a conversation…
