Garden Consultancy
Private garden advice for clients seeking clarity before making decisions, or a more experienced perspective on an existing space.
Private garden advice, by appointment
A garden consultancy provides focused, professional guidance for those who want clarity before making decisions, or a more experienced perspective on an existing space.
This is a one-to-one advisory service, offered by appointment, for clients who value considered, plant-led expertise without the need for a full design commission.
A plantsman’s view
With over 25 years of horticultural experience, my approach is rooted in planting, structure and long-term development. The emphasis is on understanding what already exists in the garden, and how it can be refined, simplified or strengthened.
Advice is practical, direct and grounded in how gardens actually grow and evolve.
The consultation
Each visit is unhurried and focused. We walk the garden together, discuss priorities and explore realistic options for improvement or development.
Guidance is given on site, with follow-up notes where appropriate.

Clear, informed direction
This service is for clients who want confident, professional input before committing to change.
The aim is not to redesign everything, but to bring clarity — and help the garden move in the right direction with confidence and restraint.
“What sets Damian apart is his incredible horticultural knowledge and genuine passion for plants. He truly cares about your garden as if it were his own. His enthusiasm is so infectious, you may end up wanting to don some gardening gloves and help out - I did!” - K.C. East Sheen
